Prior to coming to work for the Corps of Engineers in 2001, I spent 10 years working for the State of Florida's Department of Environmental Protection, including four years on the joint interagency team responsible for developing the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. In my present position, I oversee lifecycle planning, economic, and environmental work on large-scale (>$1B) civil projects, including ports and navigation, ecosystem restoration projects, coastal storm damage reduction, and inland flooding projects in the southeastern U.S. including five states (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama), Puerto Rico, and the U.
