In the study design process (where programs think through monitoring questions, data use goals, and the who, what, where, why of monitoring) thinking through data management and data sharing is a crucial step. Data sharing into central location is often a challenge for volunteer monitoring programs but there are tools available to facilitate data input into the U.S. Water Quality Portal. This webinar will share a 101 overview on the WQP, tools to facilitate data sharing, and highlight a state example of volunteer input into the federal repository.
