Fracking isn't a major issue in Florida but it's become a global hot-button topic elsewhere including Pennsylvania, just north of our second home in northern Virginia. My new book "Mother Fracker" (296 pages, Morningside Press) is an environmental novel that explores what could happen to the aquifer and clear-running streams if fracking visited a pristine place like Rappahannock County, Va. I'll be at the Miami Book Fair International Saturday, Nov. 23 (Writer's Row) and doing an event in Tallahassee Dec. 4. More at www.motherfrackerbook.com
